Have you ever had a drastic hair color change? Like from blonde to black/brunette/pink, etc.? I am considering a drastic change, but I am debating since I know it will damage my long hair. How was your experience? Thanks for discussing!

Yes, I have naturally mousy brown hair, which I hate. I normally keep it super blonde but have experimented over the years with tons of colors, including black, chocolate brown, streaks and completely unrealistic highlights in my blonde of pink, teal and a neon green/yellow.

I loved the pink. If you go with something like that though and live in a conservative town don't be surprised when ppl treat you like you have the plague. When I had pink in my hair I had also just gotten a labret piercing (so it was a large metal ball, not a smaller one) and people in this podunk town were really put off by it. However, little girls were always pointing at my hair asking their mom's if they could have pink hair too though, lol.

Actually my natural hair color is more of a dirty blond and for years I did the burgundy and reds. Then aprox a year and a half ago I went to really dark brown. I would love to be able to go wild with the colors but it doesn't work with the job!! Now my main focus is to cover the greys!!!

My hair is naturally sandy dark blonde, I usually keep it lighter but a few years ago, I went almost black.... many liked it but I longed for my blonde hair back... this past fall, I went back... I just couldn't keep up the dark!

My hair is naturally black and I wore it platinum blonde for almost 2 years. I loved it while it was blonde but the transition back to black/brunette was awful. Because my hair was bleached every two weeks (my roots grew out fast), my hair had no pigment left and wouldn't even except color (dye). Even when they would use a filler in my hair when they dyed it, it would wash out within days and I would have to go back and have it re-filled and dyed. Ultimately, I had to wait for most of it to grow out. I just tried to style it cool so you couldn't see much of the funky color that was left behind. Then, I got tired of dyeing my hair every two weeks, so I finally cut off what was left because it looked so bad

My hair is naturally black, but I've put in pink, purple and white-blonde highlights a lot, and when I have a paycheck I don't have to use completely for bills I plan on buying some more white-blonde extensions to put into it Love the Cruella look.

I've gone from blonde to green. It was okay but I went back eventually.

I have done that for so many years. I will wake up one morning and go to my beautician--I have gone from long to short hair, Dk. brown to platinum blonde, to black, red, etc. I also got colored extensions put into my hair, it looked amazing!!!
