Happy Summer Solstice!

Contributor: Eucaly Eucaly
The summer solstice for the northern hemisphere occurs today, June 21st, at 5:16 PM.

It is the traditional first day of summer and a holiday in many cultures/religions!

The longest day of the year.

I love the Summer Solstice!

Not because of the light and heat, though... just because it means from here on out it starts to get darker and eventually colder, which are my preferred conditions, hah.

Still, I'll be having one of my special beers today in recognition.

Ack, looks like I was looking at the wrong website.

It's 1:17 eastern time zone.

I just didn't know what time it was this year. We live in Central Zone. So, its about 12:17?

We used to celebrate the Winter Solstice a lot. We haven't done it for a while, though.

Great - now can it get cooler again? It's been too damn hot since spring equinox here in Florida.
