Why is it hard to find a "regular" (not LGBT) nightclub?

I hope no one takes this as anti-gay or anything like that. I have several gay and lesbian friends and I love them dearly. But I want to go out dancing with my husband, and when I searched nightclubs in my area, they were all LGBT-oriented. I don't know that we would be welcome there. ??? (Maybe I'm wrong-I'm not used to the club scene.) If anyone can point me in the right direction to search, or if by chance someone knows of a good nightclub in Columbus, OH let me know!

Exact opposite here. lol I'm bi, but I've been to a now closed down lesbian club with a group of male (straight) and female (mixed group) friends. No one minded. I've also been to gay male clubs and no one seemed to mind that I was there. So I think you could go and be okay.

It's hard to find a place here as well.

All of the LGBT oriented places I've ever been to have been VERY friendly to straight people coming in. Besides, for all they know, you're bisexual and just happen to be with a guy, so there's really no problem. If the atmosphere itself just seems fun and friendly, don't worry about it

I tend to find more straight people places where I'm at, it's hard for me to find anything else in this area. I don't mind it though, as long as they don't mind if I'm occasionally with a girl there LOL

Sorry. Can't help you out much as I live in a very small area and do not go to bars. I know we have one semi-close that's pretty friendly and open to anybody. My sisters go. My partner and I do other things for fun and if we're going to party, prefer doing so at home with our friends and fam. I think that's more fun anyways since there's not strangers and well, bad things are so easy to happen when you're a couple and around a crowd of drunk strangers. We've had trouble in the past being around too many drunken strangers.

I am sure you guys would be welcome there though. I mean, wouldn't it be discrimination? If there was a straight ONLY bar, I don't think that would fly, so surely same rules apply for gay bars? Hell, I have no idea.

Wish I could help, but I don't know your area.
