Has anyone been on vacation anywhere this summer?

I went to my cousins cottage on the Chesapeake bay for a weekend its small but relaxing.

I've taken a few weekends for weddings and visiting my sister, but I don't have any big vacation plans any farther than that for this year.

I went to Virginia Beach... my first time to a beach in over a decade. And I didn't get a sunburn there! I got a sunburn at the Norfolk Zoo the next day.

I went to a Harry Potter convention in mid-July, so that was my "vacation". At least I got to hang with dear friends, booze it up, enchant children with my shoulder puppet, explore Hogsmeade, dance with a few cross-dressing lesbians at a ball, sight the 10th Doctor, indulge my snarking with fellow Sherlockians, etc. Although I just had a flashback this morning of the inflatable sheep with the glow stick dancing at the ball. (No, I was not that drunk.)
