Thankfully, I have not been in a situation where I've been stalked. I hope those that have, were able to get it taken care of.

My ex stalked me for a little bit. It was creepy. I ended up moving far enough away. I don't have to worry about it.

I work in an industry where stalking is somewhat common. I've never felt like my safety was threatened really, but strange things have happened.

I picked other because it wasn't too serious but this girl I talked to online wouldn't leave me alone for a while.

For awhile after my ex cheated on me and i kicked him out, he would drive by, call, come by the house at weird hours, like 3, 4AM and knock on the door. After about a week of him actually coming here and knocking, I called the police.
Haven't seen him since..

I think maybe "stalking" is defined too loosely by some people...

I was bartending (25 years ago) and this guy stalked me for about 4 months. Called the cops--nothing. Then he got caught stalking another girl and before he went to prison he killed himself.

Eerie happening----Unknowing ly at first, I now own the guy's truck. We bought a truck that was for sale on the side of the highway, when I licensed it it came up as having this guys name...name sounded familiar and I asked a friend who it was. After she told me I had a serious case of the creeps but I love the truck.

I was an other. I got some threatening, harassing phone calls once that went beyond prank level. They knew details about me and it was scary. It didn't last long though and I never found out who it was.

Not only did he work where I worked at but he lived only two houses from me. I would walk to and from work (no car and the area has no public transportation) which he just so happen to walk the same way. It started out as nothing. Just two people who walked the same way to work and back home cause we lived by each other. But the more he got to know me (which wasn't a whole lot) the more he "fell for me." The days he had off and I worked he would wait in the ditch in the dark for me to leave work and as I was walking down the dark road he would suddenly pop up to walk me home cause he thought I would like company. Yeah, creepy. On his breaks he would come over to the areas where I worked to pester me or sit and stare at me. Extremely creepy. Let's put it this way, from the get go I tried to seem unattractive to him. From the start I made up this guy that I was oh so hung up on. I even faked cried over how much I am in love with this guy, screamed, etc. Way over the tops dramatic in hopes it'll scare the crap out of him and he'll run (this was while he still seemed normal, just insistent on going on a date with me). He literally said "I like you more cause you are being so real right now with me." Are you kidding me? Hell, I would even run! So few days later I told him that I told this guy I was in love with him and that we where in a relationship..... Didn't stop him. Then one night I was home alone with my dog. My dog starts freaking out running to the door just barking up a storm. Only time she does that is when someone is there. It was after midnight. I start to head to the door (I was all the way in the kitchen) thinking that it was my Sister (my Mom is terminally ill, she and my step-dad was on vacation, so my first thought was something happened while they where gone) but half way through my living room I realized nobody was knocking. I knew then whoever it was was just standing at the door (which my sister wouldn't do). I quietly crept up to the door and that's when I heard him moving around than walk out the enclosed porch. At that point I messaged/text/etc a few friends to tell them what had happened. Next day I went to work and talked to them about it. I also sent him a email telling him to back off or I will go to the police..... Kicker of the story was that he was married. And I wasn't the only one he was doing this too. But being his neighbor I was easier to bother more. Thankfully he ended up losing his job (I know of at least two other woman at my job he harassed so it's no wonder he lost his job). Oh and I moved since than too. Since I work in a major store and the main store in the area he still has to come in to grocery shop, with his wife, but he avoids me like the plaque. Thankfully!

Nope, but my mom had a stalker when she was my age. She met him once and he followed her back from Chicago to California not long after. Luckily my grandpa is pretty scary sometimes and he went back home hahaha

Twice.

Once my freshman year of college. This athlete would follow me to my dorm late at night, to events I went to, and call me in the wee hours of the morning. After Christmas break, it seemed to clear up on it's own.

Second time, I moved away from an ex. He found me and took a job in the new city I moved to. He made online accounts pretending to be different people to talk to me etc. After a year, he left me alone.

All things considered, I feel very fortunate to not have had anything really bad happen to me.

My ex stalked me for about a year. Then Alan & I got together and he offered to rearrange the guy's priorities for him, which put a stop to it. Alan & I moved shortly after that, and the ex stalked *my parents* (no kidding) for years, calling them up or dropping by to see if I was back in town and single yet. As if I would go back to him if I was single?

Yes but, it wasn't a dangerous type of stalking except for the emotional toll it took on me.

I had an ex that stalked me for a while after I left him. I didn't have to call the cops or anything, but I did have to change my phone numbers, block his emails, etc. I guess he eventually gave up, not really sure! Don't know don't care.

Yes, I have. Honestly, I didn't take any steps to get it to stop -- I simply tried to ignore it, as I didn't believe he was a danger. Eventually he stopped - haven't seen, or heard from him in several months.

I was. One night at about 4am, he walked into my bedroom and sat on my bed. He was crying and said he sat in my car for about 40 minutes thinking about the past with me (he was an ex) I moved and he found out where I lived and walked past my house constantly, texting me about how the house looks great. Eventually he stopped after I threatened him with a restraining order.

Yes once on a cruise with my mom in Bermuda. This creeper would wait in the bar until his wife decided to go to bed and then he would stand around our table and watch me and ask me to dance. but he would never even look my way when his wife was around and then as soon as his wife would walk away for a second there he was following me. it made me incredablly uncomfortable. so we told a manager on the ship and he is never allowed to cruise with that line again...
