This actually happens relatively often at my job. I will do an assignment, and either won't get the compensation monetarily or will not even get praise for doing so. In my relationships, this does not happen, which I am glad for.

The old system is replaced with a newer "better" one that really works less well and my team has to keep fixing the screw ups and faulty processing of the new system. We keep the organization off of CNN and the ones who fucked it up get bonuses FOR fucking it up.
Sad? That's really just the way things are in a big organization.

Where I work we have that. One shift does all the work while the other gets all the credit. Also the shift that does all the work gets accused of not doing the work and then we either get screamed at, written up or reprimanded in some other fashion. Sucks when the supervisor is a jack ass that doesn't want to admit that his golden children are screw ups. Our only saving grace is that pretty much everyone where I work knows the truth and will often times defend us. Have I states here how much I hate my job yet? lol

When I lived with my family, back in the apartment, anytime that I cleaned, or did anything to help my mom out while she slept all day, my siblings would take the credit just to get money. Mom never once believed I cleaned because my own room was dirty. It was dirty because I cleaned THEIR home constantly, then studied for homework and job hunt -_- I couldn't catch a break.
