Since it's gotten pretty warm here in Georgia the past couple weeks, we've been seeing the bugs come in (guess I should've closed the window and opted for the AC before today!). Had a few gnats in my damn coffee. Swallowed a few too!

So anyways we were talking about the nuisance of flies and gnats & how one time one flew inside my ear & I had to listen to this horrible buzzing sound until the idiot finally died in there. I had NO way to get it out! I was a kid then, so it's been a while. Pretty sure an ear candle or peroxide, alcohol or something would've maybe gotten it out, but I didn't know it back then.

Have you ever had a similar experience? Gnats or flies going in your ear or nose? Eyeballs?! I have had a gnat go inside my eyeball more than once. They get stuck too! You have to dig them out. And then now I've drank gnats, so I guess I've accomplished it all when it comes to getting gnats in your holes... um.. except the private holes! Oh dear. That'd be one hell of a disaster.

That sounds awful.

I got flies in my eyes as a child. It really sucked. I also accidentally drank some ants that were on top of a can of Pepsi once, ugh, I barfed.

Only ever gotten them in my eye.

Would drive me nuts in PE, after running laps, when looking up I'd find I had collect a nat halo overhead.

My nose and mouth when riding the dirt bike...

I had a tick up my nose once...bad, bad deal. Especially since I was driving my hubby's truck and about wrecked it when I figured out it was not a booger.

I've had gnats in my eyes before - yeah, that sucks.

My brother had a moth fly in his ear once....he had to go to the emergency room to get that bastard out. I'm sure that some of the people in the waiting room thought he was insane, because seemingly out of nowhere he'd start thrashing and screaming, "IT'S FLAPPING IT'S WINGS!! IT'S FLAPPING IT'S WINGS!!!"

I get gnats all over the place when we're camping, especially if we take a night ride on the boat. The amount of gnats over a lake at sunset is so ridiculous that it's impossible NOT to get a gnat in your eyes/nose/mouth

A fly flew into my ear and was buzzing. I was screaming so loud! That was one of the most horrible experiences in my life. My grandmother and my guy had to get it out.

Aw. You and I have the same kind of luck it seems! LOL. I have drank ants so many freaking times I could not count! Last summer we had ants out the rear. Couldn't seem to completely get rid of them in my bedroom. They came from a tiny space in the wall & would always find my drinks. Even if I had the lid screwed on a Dr. Pepper, those assholes would find a way in! Ugh. I hate the taste/smell of those bastards. It's like a strong sweet, icky taste/smell. It makes me gag because all the times I've swallowed then noticed!

Eri86: LOL hahaha! I'm sorry. I couldn't help but laugh though. That would be a pain.

ChubbyNerd: Bless your heart! Gnats are a huge pain to be so tiny. I remember my desperate attempt to rid our house of them last Summer. Tried that method where you cut a plastic bottle (Dr. Pepper bottle is what I used) and insert the cut lid back into the open bottle, then add vinegar and something else and it's supposed to draw them in, trap em' and kill them. Yea... I caught like 8 gnats in 24 hours. I was so excited to watch them all get stuck, so it was disappointing.

JS250: OMG! I am so sorry, but I laughed! Holy F! And I thought I had the bad luck. LOL. A tick in your nose?! You poor thing. I bet it hurt to get that sucker out. I've already been seeing those idiots this year too. Seen a couple on my partner yesterday. Ick! I'm just glad they wasn't on ME! I can't stand them. I don't like to feel them, so I have gotten to where I can't even stand to pull them off me. I've made other people rip them off. Lol. I've been eating a lot of garlic cloves lately for stomach issues and just the health benefits, and after reading your experience just now, I'll be remembering to double dose! Lol. I do not want to chance ticks... especially in my nose. I am so sorry that happened to you, though. Makes me wonder why they choose the places they do! Lol. I had one on my butt cheek once. But hey, that was less painful than if it were in your nose, so can't complain there. lOl.

Copperhead: Whoa! A moth!? Goodness! I didn't know those things liked to get on people. Man I bet that was a terrible experience. LOL @ "it's flapping its wings. It's flapping its wings!" I bet the other patients waiting thought he had done lost it. Lol.

I've had gnats fly into my eyes or up my nose and fall in my drink. I've always had to dig them out, including from the drink because I always look in my cup before drinking.

I have not had them in my ear or nose. But there is a couple of spots that they linger around where I live at and they always end up in my hair or my daughters hair or on her stroller. I can't stand it. I make sure to keep my mouth closed when I go by them and flap my hands or close my eyes.

Gnats are soooo annoying, I've def had one fly up my nose and had to blow it out..ick lol. Once my college had a panic, they swarm the dessert table...not a pretty sight.
