it's still only your "opinion" that ghosts do not exist. i refer to my earlier statement. learn the difference between fact and opinion. i'm glad that you enjoy hearing yourself talk, but that does not change that for something to be a fact it must be proven. i am not claiming that ghost, in fact, exist. it is my opinion that they do. you are obviously claiming that it is a fact that they do not exist. so, the burden of proof is on you. and, if you think that i am wrong, that, as well, is your opinion. again, learn the difference between fact and opinion. i am an atheist, however, in spite of all the research into religion and it's inability to prove the existance of god, it is still only an opinion that he or she does not exist. anyone who would suggest otherwise is, like you, in need of looking up the definition of "Fact."

by the way, (i always love when a person throws in a "by the way," like they are about to teach me something) if you want decent conversation, you must allow that other people will have opinions different from you own. and, as long as you treat them as opinions, you will not run into this problem again.

as for letting bullshit like this pass...i beleive it was you who decided to "correct" my statement that someone else's opinion was noted. somehow that set you off. somehow you've decided that my opinion is not worthy of your respect, which is funny. i don't want your respect. i don't need you to validate my opinion. i don't even need you to understand that you are still so very confused about the difference between fact and opinion. you know, i'm bored with this now. continue thinking your opinion is fact. continue enjoying listening to yourself and not to others. arrogance is a wonderful thing.

Who on earth wants to respect an opinion? What an idiotic thing to say. I don't respect opinions, I respect people. I don't respect you, for you do not deserve it. I don't give a shit about you.

And my opinion is based on the evidence. Saying 'it's just your opinion' is kind of like saying 'Santa not existing is just your opinion'. I think it's quite fair to place more weight on my opinion, simply because I take in all the facts necessary and conducive to do so.

That bullshit about the burden of proof laying on my shoulders is just that - bullshit

And, once again, fuck you.

I have felt and seen ghosts. One would harass me in my sleep, but he is gone now- he really scared me. I felt one at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV when I was coming home from a student government leadership conference. It was in the doctors' quarters, and I felt like someone was touching me. I tend to feel them more than see them- I try to ignore them.

Can I just say I'm jealous you've been to Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum?

I've never been anywhere cool like that except for Old Western State in Washington.

when i was growing up there was a little boy ghost that lived in my mom's house. I talked to him all the time and my family made fun of me. Now that i am grown and with a kid of my own we are temporarily back in my mom's house. I no longer can see the ghost but my 5 year old can and describes him exactly how i remember. It is darling watching my son react to what the ghost is doing, knowing that even personalities dont change

I have felt things being odd/off any times. In my grandmothers basement there was a spirit that use to talk with me, he 'lived' in an old clock of my grandfathers. One day the clock started ticking again after decades of sitting and it creeped my grandmother out, then I told her about the man that lived in it and she got rid of it REAL fast.

I often see figures of people and even animals out of the corner of my eye but when I go the really look at them they are gone. The only other major experience was in our house fire [no one was hurt] that happened 6 months after my father passed I saw my father standing near where the fire started. He simply stood there while I made sure everyone else got out, then I heard him say plain as day "move" it scared me enough that I did, not two seconds later one of the ceiling beams fell where I had just been.

Both of those could be explained away, either by childhood imagination, or from breathing smoke and stressstress, but for me ghosts are very real.
