I later checked with he harbormaster, the airport and the city police to see if anything strange was reported, no mention was made by me about what I saw, not wanting to raise criticism or suspicion.
To this day I can not explain this, but know it was real, strange.

Anyway, that is pretty insane. No way were they motorcycles that went around you, I guess. Nothing else could explain lights moving in opposite directions like that. Thanks for sharing that super spooky story.

My husband was following me home one morning around 5am and the sky lit up over the whole valley for about 5 seconds...just like daylight. I jammed the brakes on my car and went into a skid to avoid the vehicle in front of me. We have no idea what the heck it was.

The lights didn't stay close to the ground as they passed but angled up and away so it couldn't have been motorcycles, and there was no where for either of them to go if they were. It was all trees on my right side, and a large body of water, Lake Superior, on my left side.
I still get goosebumps when I think about it.

We were driving down a dirt road in the Florida sticks, it was a pretty cloudy night, and up in the sky appeared a ring of about 4-5 fairly large lights, they were all different colors like purple, yellow, pink, blue.. They were blinking and the colors were sort of rotating. I turned around to see if my sister was seeing it, and she was, but when I looked back it had started to fade away in the clouds.
