I never could, though I've had coworkers do it - annoys the fuck out of me, especially since they leave me to do all the work.

When I worked I had an office to myself where I could close and lock the door. Due to all my meds and low energy levels, I was usually spent by noon. There were many times I locked that door and passed out on my desk.

Over the summer I worked on my feet the whole time, and during my 15 or 30 minute breaks (depending on how many hours my shift was) I had to cram food into my face in order to survive the second half of my shift! So nope. I have napped during class, though!

My previous employer had an area specifically for that. Headquarters of a large retail company had a nurse's station for employees who felt ill or had a headache. Off of that area was a darkened room with a half dozen or more LazyBoy recliners for employees to rest or nap in. Everything was above board, manager was notified. We were told "if you need to take a nap, then go take a nap" . I did so occasionally it was not considered to be a bad thing at all.

My current employer doesn't see things that way. I drink at least a pot of coffee every day myself to stay alert at work. Then I have trouble sleeping at night sometimes.

I do whenever I get tired, about once every couple weeks or so....Usually I am fine and don't need a nap but when I am seriously stressed it becomes a need!

Yes. Working on the grave shift can be rough, so when I am not on the clock at lunch, I choose to sleep rather than eat.

Yes - my office is at home, so if I need a nap I take one. I'd estimate that it happens 4-5x per year.

I did when I was employed as a nanny. But the kids got to sleep, it's only fair I did too
