After watching an episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, I went to a restaurant featured on the show that was local to my area. It was OK....looked a lot more exciting and better on the show!

Yes, but we had been regulars there years before the show came to their location. It definitely is worth the hype though.

I've watched the show a couple of times, but haven't been to any places featured on it. I did see an episode where they came to a restaurant in Canada, but they probably haven't been any places close to where I live.

Never heard of that show, however, several from "Check Please" WTTW Chicago Public Television.

Yes the food is good and the milkshakes are amazing yum! But the line mid-day is hell and finding parking sucks

I've been to several because I live in NJ - the state with the most diners and they've visited quite a few that I've been to. They also once featured the diner I hung out in every other afternoon all through high school (not much else goes on in that town...) and it was a really disappointing segment which makes sense because it's not an impressive restaurant.
Tick Tock in Clifton, however is awesome. I make a point to stop for late night dinner whenever I'm on my way back from NYC.
