This poll is a spinoff of a comment on my last poll, about dropping your cell phone in the toilet. Now that I know whether or not you've done THAT, let's move onto a cleaner topic: washing/drying your cell phone. Spill it. I know someone's done it.

Note: this poll refers to washing your cell phone in a washing machine. Drying refers to running it through a dryer.

This poll, too, is public for my amusement, because, really, I just wanna be alllll up in your business.

No, thankfully. I generally notice the weight of the phone in the pocket before throwing the jeans in the hamper. I imagine most other people would too but someone had to!

Yup washed it dropped itina toilet i just threw it in a bag of rice and it somehow managed to resurect it.

And this is why I'm always paranoid about checking pockets before things go in the wash. I like to try to avoid this situation.

My sister washed AND dried my son's jeans with his brand new cell phone inside one of the pockets - it died. It happened when my son was visiting her, she has OCD and washes whatever dirty clothes she can find around her house, and she never bothers to check the pockets.

never done this, just dropped it in the toilet, wiped it down clean with anti bac stuff, put it in a container of dry rice for 3 days and it worked fine afterwards

Nosy little thing aren't you? Seriously though, Sigel washed and dried his super expensive cell phone bought for him by his work. He then panicked because the phone was ringing and he couldn't find the damn thing only to realize it had been his boss calling during the wash cycle and dry cycle. THAT was a DAMN fine phone! It broke finally when he dropped it out of his coat pocket while getting into the car and ran over it.

I'm really bad and I always need to know where my phone is most of the time, so I've never let it go "missing" long enough to make it into the laundry fortunately.

If you wash it put it in a container with rice! Drying depends on how hot the dryer gets but ours survived!
