Have you written a will?

Contributor: Anne Anne
I know it's depressing, but one of my past friend studying to be a mortician said that any age is appropriate to start writing one. I haven't started yet, but I probably will someday soon. One of my friend's dad just suddenly died during a coma due a diabetic shock and it was really sad. We never know when our time will come, it's scary. I'd like to think that if I died suddenly, everyone that loved me would be taken care of in my will... at least a little bit. What do you think? Have you written one?

I've only prepared living-wills (being a legal office student has advantages). I haven't made out my own yet, mostly because I have nothing worth bequeathing ... and I don't want to saddle anyone with paying off my car that doesn't work. Still, I'll need to make out instructions for my physical disposal and dealing with the expenses related to it.

Your friend is right - it needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. Just in case.

I have yet to actually make one but it is important to have at any age.

No, not yet. I don't have much to leave to people, and honestly, it's never occurred to me.

Nope, I don't have enough to give away to make it worthwhile yet.
