Outside of in High School, have you taken any Art classes?

Contributor: Badass Badass
I've been painting for quite some time now, and it's my favorite way to pass the time. Every once in a while, I get a course catalog from the "Center for Lifelong Learning", and I always flip through it. This time around they have a Painting with Oil and Acrylics. I was wondering if anyone else had taken an art class or another course from something like a learning center and your experiences.

That is what I was concerned about. It is $107 for a 10 session class. I'm fairly anxious I'm gonna folk over the money and then regret it. I'm not a right woman, you know?

No time! I would like to do some glass fusing, though.

Art was my primary major in college, so I've taken lots of interesting art classes, but none in a learning center. It's funny how art caused me more stress than relief lol.

I did a general art class (painting, drawing) at a learning centre. It was ok. I was the youngest there - most people were seniors. I learned some knew things, but mostly just realized that I really do suck at art xD Not sure that I would take another art course for that reason (although ceramics would be cool), but I'd do a different course.

I haven't. I took an art class in high school and hated it. I am not the most artistic person ever. Hahaha..I usually have to scroll through pinterest to get my creative juices flowing.

I've never taken an arts class outside of high school... but I attended an arts high school, so my artistic education was more thorough and often than most.

Great school is Academy Of Arts Institution, it has wide ranges of the different types of arts... But, if on a budget or even just to try it out to see if it is for you, then just try your local college for a semester or more...

I am not artistic at all. I actually hated that we HAD to take it in 8th grade and get a letter grade on the report card in it. I love to admire other peoples' art, but I'm horrible at it. The only thing I can do well is color a picture, lol. I wish I could draw . So no, I didn't take a course in high school or college, I'll leave that to the people with talent.

See, I'm not sure I'd want to actually take community college classes... this would be a way for me to test it out, you know?

It relieves me very much that the people who have taken a few, enjoyed them and had positive experiences.

Oh snap, what is Sips n Strokes? It sounds to be like a drinking and painting activity... I do that on my own already! How would one find out if there is a Sips n Strokes group in her area??
