No, we didn't have one. We didn't have the money at that time for anything nice. We saved it for down payment on a home. We both also were busy with work.

Our "honeymoon" was starting "grad school" the very next day! It was four years before we even had a vacation to speak of, and that was before we started post grad training in our fields. We were too poor to anything during that one precious week! All in all, our "honeymoon" came after being married ten years when we finally had the time, and money, to do a whirlwind and very romantic trek across Europe.

We spent a week at a great resort in Mexico on the beach. It was nice, but we are very different travelers. He likes to just lay around and relax doing nothing, and I like to get out and do things. We adjust our vacations now to allow for both, and usually travel with other couples so we can break into groups and everyone get the vacation they want!

Nope- not married!

My sister and brother-in-law didn't really have the money for a honeymoon when they got married a few years back, so myself and some close family members paid for them to go to a great B&B in a town not too far away. They loved it and it didn't stress them out financially.

I'm not married. But I dream of honeymooning in Ireland if, and when, I do.

Other - we actually took our honeymoon before we got married. We knew we'd be too exhausted after our long distance wedding to really appreciate it.

That was nearly 25 years ago - time to plan a 2nd honeymoon!

I was 17 when we got married and my hubs was in the marine corps. He deployed a
6 weeks after we got married. Never had any type of official honeymoon...unless you count the welcome home sex romps after 8 months separated bc of deployments!

Alaskan cruise. We loved it. On the issue of honeymoon vs savings, I'd keep the honeymoon we had and in retrospect, just have a courtroom wedding and casual after party at a park with friends and family... and put that saved money that wasn't spent on the "big wedding hoopla" into savings.

With my first wife, our "honeymoon" was both of us heading off to grad school in Germany. Years after I'd become a widower I married my second wife, we didn't have the time nor funds to do any sort of "real" honeymoon.
