According to the Farmer's Almanac, winter in the Northern Hemisphere does not officially begin until December 22, 2011. It is now three in the morning, and my outdoor thermometer reads a freezing 32 degrees, everything is covered by a thick layer of beautiful, shimmering frost. How cold is it where you live?

The snow hasn't melted yet since that big snowfall, either. Bleh. It's pretty for five seconds, then I have to drive in it.

I live outside Chicago. We have had temperatures in the 20s and a few light snows. Nothing sticks yet, but it will eventually.
It still sometimes gets up into the 40s or even 50s in the daytime, but is staying in the 30s some days, but we are having a very warm fall for Chicago.

I live in Siberia, so it's pretty cold already -11 degrees Celsius today (about 12 degrees Fahrenheit, if I'm not mistaken). Unfortunately, it's gonna be worse.

Just got up, it's colder than a few hours ago, only 29 degrees. Too bad we don't have any moisture in the air at all, or else we should have lots of snow!

I live in Texas and we just had a cold front blow through yesterday. The high for the day is 44 the low is 30... It has been raining for the past 2 days!
