I usually just bear it because it rarely gets TOO bad, if it's really bothering me, raspberry leaf tea is a lifesaver. I'd more than recommend it if you have cramping pains. I never take painkillers.

I am one that likes quiet, take baths, ibuprofen first. The whole visual imagery and biofeedback really does work. Then take the big stuff if nothing else works.

Most months I don't have a huge issue with cramping or pain. Every few months I will have a 'bad' period that usually leaves me with one day of moderate cramping. When I have those months, I usually take some advil and try to get up and move around a bit. When I sit it makes me feel worse. I get some pretty good cleaning done on those bad months. lol

I live with chronic pain, so if it is mild for me I ignore it. If it is more severe I take pain killers.

Walk it out. I find that often moving helps things loosen up and fall back where parts are supposed to reside, especially with back and hip problems
