How is your relationship with your boss?

If you have a direct boss or supervisor at work, what is your relationship with that person? If you have more than one boss, do you have different relationships with each?

Do you get along, enjoy their company, dislike yet still respect them, or downright hate them?

Does this relationship affect how you feel about your work experience?

I love my boss. We both worked for the same health care service years ago and she asked me to come with her when she founded our company years ago. I worked with her for years. I took some time off to work Private Practice and take care of my new baby. She's an amazing woman, and an inspiration. We get along really well.

In the interim, I was in Private Practice and was my own boss. Now I don't have to worry about billing people, dealing with bounce checks, or having people give me BS about why they can't pay me. I did a lot of Pro Bono work, and the people who didn't want to pay were always people who were well off. Go figure.

I don't have a boss so much as a research advisor. I think we have a pretty good relationship and he seems to put a lot of faith in me.

The guy right above me is great. We are friends. He worked for me a few years ago, now I work for him. The guy above him I cant stand. But I do not have to deal with him very often. He is one of those guys that will stab you in the back when you are not looking, and will step in after you took care of all the problems and take the credit for it. The guys that own the company are good guys, except for one or two.
