How long could you go without your cell phone?

Contributor: laflauta laflauta
I use my smart phone for so much. I don't know how I managed to function without it for all those years. How long could you go without using your cell phone? What would be your price for giving it up?

Let's see ... I haven't had minutes on mine for a month now ... and I had it with minutes for a week before that after four months without minutes ...

Life is pretty much the same. I really don't need it - the only reason I have it at all is because of my mother. She doesn't know there usually isn't minutes on it because she never calls, anyway.

I don't have a smart phone, just a plain ole flip phone I bought years ago. I never go without it in case one of my kids gets sick or hurt at school (has happened more than once), or if my husband has an emergency and needs to get a hold of me.

I usually go a half hour to a hour without it. Depending on what I am doing.

Maybe 20 minutes tops. I always have my phone with me, even if I'm just going from one room to the next.

I have gone without the actual phone for 5 months now it got shut off thanks to my ex so now I just use it when it is connected to Wifi for internet connection so I don't have to have my computer up all the time.

I use phones in general so little that I could go forever without my cellphone. My computer however...not so much!

My biggest problem would be giving up my iPad.

I don't really care for my phone. I wouldn't mind giving it up, but there are so many pros to having a cell phone. It is great if you break down, maybe your stranded, or even lost. They are very helpful, especially in emergencies.

I could go quite a while without it bothering me. All out of sight, out of mind like. I love the convince of having a smart phone & I’d miss it, marginally, after a few days. However, I'm not one to treat my phone like it’s an attachment of my arm. Honestly, there would be a few people mad at me for not utilizing it, to get in touch with them, a good two weeks before I'd get frustrated with myself. My price would still be fairly high though. I'm not forking it over unless I have to; it can just stay in my room somewhere, without my taking notice of it, for this scenario.

I don't have a smartphone, but my best friend lives in California and I don't know if I could get through a day or two without texting her.. How could I possibly make it through class?! Haha. I have a teacher that always complains about how obsessed we are with cell phones/technology and I'm just like "Yup, not even going to deny it."

Not long at all. I'm in a long distance relationship, and texting is our main form of communication since his skype stopped working right.
