How many jobs do you work?

Contributor: wrecklesswords wrecklesswords
So, I noticed that around this time of the year, people with regular jobs do like to try to get a seasonal job to help pay for their bills around Christmas time. Does that actually help out or is it more strain on your schedule?

But in general, do you work one job, two jobs? Three jobs? More? Tell me how many jobs you work and if it really makes a difference to your every day bills or not.

I don't work any jobs, but my husband works one full time and we have a side computer-repair and networking business that sporatically brings in extra money. Extra money is extra money in my opinion.

I only have one. I would be happy to have a little side retail job for a discount but my job doesn't allow us to have second jobs.

I only have one right now and that's babysitting my nephew. Trying very hard to find something with a more steady income but even with stores looking for seasonal help it's difficult because so so so many people apply.

I don't have a job that I get paid for right now. (I homeschool my children and, of course, I'm a full-time mother/homemaker!) I do try to do things that get us little extras-- such as Eden Points, Swagbucks, Ebates, etc.

I started my own business this year and frankly, Holiday time I'm going to be slammed. Trying to balance work with family is the issue. Generating income is a concern but making sure my kids are happy and well taken care of while my spouse is deployed is my number one focus.

I work two jobs on a regular basis, full time here and part time nights. I've had two jobs at a time since 2007, and it got to the point that if I only had one job I almost felt unemployed since I was so used to having more than the nights. I'm probably going to leave my night job next year though. As soon as my husband and I have a house of our own, I don't want to be working nights anymore.

i don't work any jobs right now. being a student is my job, lol. & i won't be allowed to work one next semester b/c i have to have a full time internship to graduate, & the chances of finding a paid one are so slim that i don't even make it a priority for finding the internship. all the ones i want to do are unpaid. since it's full time & i'll have a side project that i will have to turn in at the end of the semester, i won't really have any time for a second job.

Because of the hours or because of contract?

I have a part time job. I am a full time student though so I don't really have time for a 2nd job. Honestly I think I'd rather just work more hours at the job I have now than pick up a 2nd job if I needed the money.

I have one part-time job right now, and it's SUPER part-time. I am hoping to get a seasonal position with a jewelry store as well. $8.50 an hour plus a bonus at the end of the season and a great discount? heck yeah! But, I also just applied where my gf works (retail as well) and applied for a different shift entirely and different position of the store so it wouldn't conflict.

I didn't think what I would give up if I was offered both of these jobs. I like my current job because I've always wanted to work there. Always. Even though it's been disappointing me since I started in August because of the joke hours (12-18 a week...). I like to stick with things until I'm totally sure they won't get better.

But... I dunno. Kind of stuck. I suppose I should just wait until something happens with these other two jobs I applied for/interviewed for.

I have no jobs right now other than being a mommy and pregnant. I am looking for part time work though. I need to get out of my house and the extra income would be nice.

I work one steady income job, which is my full time job running a medical office. I do, however, do other things for source of income. I model and do promotional work, edit essays, and sometimes any odd jobs that people might give me. Really, I only need to work the steady income job, because it takes care of me, my boyfriend and we still have plenty extra after each check to do whatever we want, but I choose to have the extra income, because the money doesn't go into our checking account, and I'm saving it up secretly in another account for a surprise for my boyfriend

I work 60-70 hours a week at my full time job so there's really not much time left for another job, but luckily my f/t position pays the bills and then some, and I love it here. I do use shopathome.com, some blogging, etc. on the side just for a little extra cash, but nothing I have to commit to. I'm consider working on a cam site, not necessarily for the money but I've always wanted to experience it and now that I'm single, there's no one in my life telling me they don't want me to.

shopathome.com? I'm going to have to check into this. I blog, but I only have 1 follower so I don't expect anything good to come out of that.

I did the cam thing before. I suggest skinvid if you get on there. unless it changed since I was there in February of this year, then it is basically a revolutionary site for cam girls all over the world.

Full time here, and I run a photography business on the side. Summers are the big season for me with weddings, but I do actor headshots and modeling comp cards almost year round. I've cut back on it because I prefer to focus my energy and attention here.

Shopathome is similar to ebates, but I find I do much better there than Ebates. Same theory though - cash back shopping rewards program.

A "secret" website (it's invite only so my bf has to advertise on there for me) but they have an entire forum dedicated to people wanting to buy essays or have them edited.

Also, when I was in high school I used to write and edit a lot of people's essays and stuff, and even after I graduated in '06 requests kept coming in as my younger friends passed my info on. So, I don't really need to advertise, but people used to post help requests on craigslist and I'd find those.

A lot of my college friends also ask for help. So, I'm lucky that I've got an abundance of lazy friends in my life trying to make straight A's

Advertising on craigslist is an AWESOME idea though!

Ohhh sounds like fun!

Yeah, I made I think $30 once. Not much, but I wasn't charging super high rates like most editing companies do. I think I was just charging like $5 a page or something like that.
