I have an '03 Toyota Echo, and normally get about 37 mpg. When I'm traveling and sticking solely to highways, I can get it up to 43 mpg.

I have a 5.4L '04 F150, four door truck with shell. I average about 20 mpg when I am paying attention. The worst I ever got was 15 when towing our camper (6000 lbs) we had, the best was 24 when travailing cross country.

It is funny that my last truck was a '03 F150, 2 door, 2 wheel drive single cab that had a 4.6L, this one got about 16 - 18 mpg. I get better mileage with the bigger truck. See, bigger is better.

My Honda Civic (05) is a total gas sipper. I just wish she had a little more get up and go (of course if she did, dhe wouldn't sip gas!)

I have a 2007 Cobalt that is ranked at 22 MPG in the city and 31 highway, which is probably pretty close to what I get, especially since I usually drive alone and keep my car clear of heavy junk.

Wow, 8-12 is pretty bad. lol. Especially considering I recently read that most 18-wheelers get 6 to the gallon.

18 wheelers are pulling upwards of 70,000 lbs compared to a pick up that weighs about 5,000. For a '75 truck that is pretty normal for a carburetor engine. That same engine with Fuel Injection would get 15-20.

2001 Chevrolet Cavalier.

If I'm just driving highways and taking it easy on the gas (that hardly ever happens), I can get up to 45 or so, but... most of the time, for city driving, etc, 35 is about what it does.

I drive the Ford Excrusion. I remember when I had a Jeep and then the kids started coming. We moved up to a Durango. The kids kept coming. Added a few more kids and a grandmother to the mix and ended up with the biggest SUV on the road. I love it except when I have to fill it up.

We get about 17 in our Audi. It has go-fast parts and I have a heavy foot. I am sure it would get better mpg if I could control myself LOL

My 1964 Plymouth Valiant gets about 27 right now, but has the potential to get more. We never got it tuned enough. I'm goo with the 27 though. My 2000 Ford Focus gets about 25-32 depending on how I drive and where I am driving.

I'm surprised you can get something that old to get such great gas mileage. I had a friend that had a car just like that way back in the day and I think it got about 20 then. How'd you get it tuned so well?
