I am often shocked to see how many people are needed to help pick a wedding dress. My wife only had her Mother. I just can't see how it could be a good thing to have everyone and there Grandma's to be there to pick a dress! How many people were there to help you pick one?
How many people were with you went you bought the "dress"

I went wedding dress shopping on two occasions. The first time was with my 2 cousins who were bridesmaids and the second time it was just my mom because my cousins don't live near me. I never had a large group with me, that would drive me absolutely nuts.

I had to make mine back in 2000. If I ever do get married again, I'll either make that one, too, or repurpose a nice cocktail dress. The prospect of wedding dress hunting seems so daunting and filled with burned-out saleswomen who don't like anyone offbeat.

I only brought the ladies in my family. I didn't want or need anyone else there.
