Are you hard on performance, safety, style, hardware, software? What makes your heart pound or growl furiously when it comes to your machine?

I don't care for having the computer with the newest hardware, the chance is those things will be a lot cheaper in a few months. I just need a computer with moderate fast cpu, and a dedicated graphic card that can run most games. That's good enough for me.

Jesus Christ that was a long poll. In any case, I personally find that a computer that works well and is reliable is the best bet for me. If I can hook a tablet (drawing tablet, not those new nifty things) to it, then I'm good. I also like my computers to run fairly fast.

I'm not the most skilled with technology, but I do CSS incredibly well. Go figure.

I saved up for a little while for my current desktop build, which is very high performance. My netbook on the other hand I haven't modified on the hardware level at all, and I don't expect it to be extremely powerful.

Mine is going to be 5 years old this year but it's still good for me. I work and game as well but it lasts well I'll make the new one last as well by picking the components wisely.

That was one great poll! My PC is custom built so I guess I am on the demanding side for computers. It is designed to play and run the latest video games with duel video cards, lots of RAM, blah blah blah (not that interested in details). By the same token it is about three years old, which is a dinosaur in terms of computers and I feel no urgent need to upgrade.

I care about the software and capabilities (security, versatility, etc) more than I care about aesthetics, but I still want it to look good and not be falling apart. If it gets a scratch, I'll pout for a while, but I'll get over it.

I care most about what goes in it. Thus why I always have my hands in the case upgrading, 'til the case gets too cramped of course. Mine's only two years right now, and gets what I need done done pretty efficiently so I don't need any upgrades right now. Recently had to replace the Blu-Ray drive though because the connector decided to go toasty.

I just built my new computer a few weeks ago. What really concerns me is storage space, reliability, and ability to run multiple programs at once. My old computer would crash if I opened too many programs, but I decided to go with a ton of memory on this one to avoid that problem. I'm not really big on games right now, mostly just running some (sometimes demanding) programs for school.

The computer I use is my husbands and the way I look at it is if it works I'm ok. He's a computer and gaming nerd so he has to have the fastest gaming computer there is. He builds his own from scratch with everything he wants in it.

For me it needs to be able to run multiple videos for editing and perform various image editing works so that means it essentially has to have the best performing parts and features.

No. I don't need all the new, prettiest and best, but in order to do my school work and do the part of my job that requires the computer, I do need some things. Nothing super expensive, but my lovie paid A LOOOOT for my lap-top. I was really shocked because I did not expect it and had planned to get something barely capable of getting my school work done! It was really nice and it's absolutely perfect for my work as well as the millions of photographs I take of the family, pets and kids, but it's fine how it is. I take very good care of it, but that doesn't require paying a lot of $ to do so. I don't want the newest thing and the fastest. Mine is just fine and no matter how many new, pretty ones come out, this is *mine* and I'm happy with it.
