Ehh, I try not to dye it too often, just when my roots come in are majorly noticable.

I usually dye my hair unnatural colors twice a month.
To get the colors to stand out against my natural dark hair I have to bleach first. It totally kills my hair but I constantly keep it close cut shaved to get rid of the dead hair.

Since I have it such a bright red, I have to do it at least once a month. I have also had greys since 15, mostly in the crown area, which sucks. Makes for having to do it more frequently.
