How often do you misread or misunderstand a question, then realize it after you answered the question?

Sometimes... but what immediately came to mind after reading this title was "I gave the correct answer, you just asked the wrong question". Sorry, it's late and everything is silly.

Five tons of flax. I really prefer flax over hemp. I know that the guys of the league of the dynamic diskord prefer hemp, but I'm certainly into flax.

Sometimes I misunderstand questions and topics. Here sometimes because English is not my mother language.
There are sayings and puns I really don't get like 'to kick the bucket'. Why should anyone kick a bucket?

What I also consider problematic are the missing noverbal messages to recognize irony and stuff.

I do it in all walks of my life and am surprised I wasn't just fired for misreading something causing downtime.

I do this fairly often.

Haven't had this happen too often. I have caught myself saying "what?" only to realize a second later that I actually did hear and/or understand what was being said.

I sometimes answer before i figure out the actual answer, so alot of times im like dang it nooo the answer was a yes not a no or it was 4 not 2 haha

I do this often and will have to re read it to get it.

I've miss-read before and wrote the whole paper on what I read the assignment to be. Not a good day or grade lol.
