If I had a million dollars...

The 1. thing on my "to-buy" list would be a nice horse. I've ridden and competed since I was 4 years old, grew up dreaming of riding in the olympics, but was never able to afford one of my own. I still ride and lust after horse-for-sale ads ALL the time. I joke that my future hubby can buy whatever sort of man toys he wants (sports cars, boats, guns, mistresses, whatever) as long as I have a horse first lol.

My biggest material want in life??? Hmm...

It would be 2 things:

-A house that would comfortably fit my family, and my grandparents in it.
-A car.

Then of course, all the luxury vibes I can't afford =P

A Mercedes Pagoda any year between 1964 and 1969. Has always been my dream car.

A house closer to my son's school.

A Ferrari.

I'd buy a house, pay for extra years of college so I can study the things I really want to, and put the rest in savings.

A house and a car. After that, I would want to buy both of my sons houses, put my grandson through college and then start up a charitable organization.

Lots of diddly stuff that adds up ... cars that work (they don't have to be new), updating the house from 'condemnable' to 'reasonably comfortable', fix my credit (HA!), contribute to my parents' land-buying and house-building, plane and train tickets so I can visit friends (and Master), a few pretty things, crafts I can't afford but want to do, etc ...

A nice house that is completely paid off.

Then college tuition.

Pay off the house, go to grad school, hire a personal trainer (in a small group setting to save money). Maybe upgrade to a used car made in the last decade that has air conditioning, windows that roll down, and a working radio.

My big splurge would be a family trip to our ancestral home in Denmark. It's become a bit of a resort in the years since my grandfather emigrated, but my father always wanted to visit, but never got a chance to, and now doesn't want to deal with flying coach. So first class tickets for the whole family, and good accommodations to explore the family seat.

A house with enough garage space to keep my husband happy.

My 60's Cadillac convertible that I want.

Paying off my debts and a reasonably sized (3 bedroom and a garage) house with assorted luxuries for me, my lover, and future pets. The rest would go in the bank and we could live well enough on interest.

If this was a "how would you gift a portion of that windfall" question instead of what my biggest material want in life is, I was totally going to say that I would buy that car for you and give you and hubby the money to do the things you want show you can dazzle at shows.

I want a house. In the middle of nowhere with two very sturdy trucks with manual transmissions and a bunch of land to raise animals for food and places to grow fruits and vegetables. And I spend a good portion of it on Eden to trick out the basement cum sex chamber.

My internet connection died while I had a nice answer. Oh well, here I go again.

Pay off the car loan payment

Add on a bathroom and a few rooms to the house (it's already paid for, but could use some improvements)Get new flooring as well. The biggest mistake we made when building was putting in carpet. Now that we have kids it's horrible

Save for both boys college tuition

Help out some family and friends financially that need it

Invest the rest

I'd donate on a yearly basis to causes that I thought were worthy.
