I want a ferret or sugar glider. I know ferrets aren't considered exotic everywhere but in California they are and they are illegal to own, I think.

A fox. I think they breed domesticated foxes somewhere, but I'm not sure if they're even legal where I live.

I know there was a (Russian?) study that bred a lot of very tame, dog-like foxes :3

Yep! There's a breeding program for them in Russia. I plan to acquire one someday.
