We took the dogs out for their walk in the mountains tonight and found a safe. It had been forced open and rolled off a bank. I took pictures of the scene and then we managed to roll and drag it up the hill to the road. I waited while hubby went down to where there was cell service to call the sheriff. I really wanted to keep it--but know that would not be fair to the owner.

What would you have done???

I would probably do the same thing. photograph how I found it (though I would leave it alone) and call the sheriff.

The door was blown off and the box area was open to the elements. Good news--the owner does not want it back--I get to keep it after they are out of court....whenever that may be, lol!!
