I've already figured out the trick - fanfic. I write it where I want it to go, then apply it. It's worked.

It's hard to write a book when you don't know the ending...I, too, think my life would be a great book. I don't know the ending and I refuse to create one for fear of life imitating art.

I'd keep reading as the happy ending hasn't happened yet, however I do like being the hero of my own story!

Read the title and about shit, I seriously wrote a book just like this. Where the main charecter's life was a book his daughter wrote. It was suppose to be his idea of a perfect life but the book was never finished so by day 3 the other charecters would start to change and things would start to fall apart. Yeah, anyways, I would keeep on going to the bitter end. Here's a link if ya wanna check it out.

Pretty much this! It's an interesting ride, but there are plenty of times I would like to take a break and continue on later.
