Im sure shes not saying that... but its there, theres documentaries on yt as well... not all videos on yt are fake. So i feel you shouldnt be rude and sarcasstic to her.and obviously thats basically her question... either you believe what your seeing or you dont... shouldve never clicked on the clearly marked ILLUMINATI link.
I'm not following--because I don't believe in the Illuminati and don't believe in circumstantial evidence and the hysteria that fuels most conspiracy theories, I shouldn't have clicked on a link titled "thoughts on the Illuminati." Why, exactly? Am I not allowed to participate in this conversation? My point was that anyone can upload a video onto YouTube. It is not a source of reliable information, and that kind of "we don't need reliable evidence to make claims about what happens in our world" is not only a foolish way to look at the world, but is actively harmful. People can waste their lives speculating about who is "pulling the strings" in the world based on fairy tales that they tell each other, or they can pay attention to the things happening in front of their face and concern themselves with real world problems. I think that more strongly than ever in the wake of all these mass shootings. There's something wrong with our world and our culture, and sitting around watching YouTube "documentaries&qu ot; on conspiracy theories only fuels more paranoia, distrust, misinformation, misunderstanding, and distracts from real world problems. I believe that conspiracy theorists live in a fantasy world where problems and solutions are elusive, because it's easier for them that way--when all the world's problems are happening behind closed doors, what can you do about it besides sit around and speculate on YouTube? It's ridiculous and quite frustrating.
