Personally, I don't think sending or receiving xmas cards is very important. But I know other people really make it their goal to get cards out to people every year and some people like to collect them.

I used to send them out yearly...then I realized that it's expensive, and people just toss them!

My mom sends Christmas cards but I really couldn't care less.
If someone cared how merry my holidays were they would call, make some effort to visit on more than just that holiday. The only people I really care about are my immediate family (blood relation and not).

I will send pics to close friends and family out of state and a little note for them that's about it. I personally think cards are a waste of money they just get thrown away most of the time.
