My manager at my just irritates me so much. And its not like he is trying to, but it just does! Do you or have you ever had a manager or boss like that? Or even an employee or colleague?

My manager constantly tells me the exact same thing over and over. No matter what I do, he still feels the need to tell me. I work at a convenience store and the shelves have to be stocked. So from day one he would get on my case about stocking the shelves. Not to mention that the back room is impossible to find anything and it was my first day, he still felt the need to remind me.

Well, I have been working my butt off trying to please him. I go around and remember what is low, then run to the back and try to find it. Also while constantly dodging back out to make sure no customers are there.

So today, I was doing awesome. I put so much stuff out on the shelves and I all the cleaning already that I thought he would be happy. Instead, he told me the same exact thing he was saying when I first started, "You gotta fill the shelves, and if you can't find it in the back, you gotta bring stuff forward"

I want to scream!

Haven't we ALL had at least one superior that we hated?

I quit my last job because of one of my managers. I had three of them but the one that was directly in charge of my department stressed me out so much. I couldn't take the constant blame for things that weren't even my fault. She would constantly set unrealistic goals only to see if we would talk back to her. Too many mind games. Just, ugh.

I do not think too much on my coworkers or managers, honestly. They are nice people, for the most part.

I don't have just one, I have 6 of them. One GM, 5 shift managers and all quick to remind me that I'm being trained as one too when I don't want to be. To make matters more difficult the General Manager and 2 of the other managers don't speak English fluently, so I can barely even communicate with them. I expressed my concerns about being forced into a manager position with a staff that majority doesn't speak English either and they only told me "You manage." I'm not sure if she's saying I'll get by or that I'm a manager and figure it out. I need to get a new job, at this point I'm a pastry chef working in a fast food job so I can pay my bills, but I look for somethign else daily.

I have in the past. Thankfully the one I have now is awesome.

I was at a temp position once and the first day on the job I overheard who was supposed to be my "boss" tell another girl to offer me some cake.. "why don't you go ask skinny mini over there if she wants some.. I am sure she isn't on a diet" at which point the coworker said "oh I did. SHe said she doesn't have a sweet tooth.. PFFT"

I walked into their cubicle and let them know that if they want to speak of someone they probably shouldn't do it in a CUBICLE where you know.. sound travels.

Needless to say that was my first AND last day there.

I have two managers that irritate me. One is the Chief Plant Operator who in incapable of doing his job. The superintendent above him has taken away all his responsibilities, so there is no one doing the chief's job. The superintendent has taken on some of the chiefs duties, but not all and has a Laissez faire management style. There is no communication from above, therefore we (the 4 plant operators) are not always on the same page and left in the dark all the time. He leaves us alone and lets us operate the plant as we see fit. The trouble is, one of the other operators doesn't know how to fix any problems that may occur and always leaves the problem for the next operator to solve.

Happily, I work the 12 hour night shift (7:30pm to 7:30am) on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday. Again Happily, I only see the superintendent for 15 minutes on thursday and friday mornings.

Language barriers are so hard! I had a Korean roommate last semester and it was really frustrating sometimes to talk to her. Even though her English is better, her verb tense annoys me a lot. I hope you can hang in there!

Irritating managers and co-workers, you just can't escape them. When I was putting myself through college I worked at a bank. My manager was always yelling at me and one day I yelled back. She was nice to me after that.

I really do not like my supervisor at all. She blames us for her screw ups, and half the time we can't find her when we need her for something. She's always having a cigarette or is busy talking on her cell phone with the walkie turned off. Then when stressed out she takes it out on us, and she's accused me of having attitude when all i am doing is explaining what i need to complete my job.

I have felt like walking out many many times, I can't stand her!

I spent a good 8 months working at my store before I figured out that my boss didn't just straight up hate me. It was ridiculous the amount of times I went and sat in the car and tried not to cry because he was in a bad mood and taking it out on drivers. Eventually he started to perk up. I'm not sure if it was a change in medication or the fact that now he's in a happy relationship, but either way, I'm not complaining, and now I don't feel bad giving him shit back, lol. (he's the kind of person that you really can't tell if they're being sarcastic or genuinely an ass, and takes some getting used to)

I'm sure I've had annoying supervisors in the past, but nothing remarkably noteworthy. I've been with the same company for six years (six years and 18 days actually) now and I couldn't ask for a better group of owners to work for. I have nothing but good things to say about any of them.
