I always sleep mid way between on my side and on my stomach. And I do that on both sides. I get a back ache and it tends to block off a main artery in my neck (makes my head feel foggy and is horrible) if I lay on my stomach.

I'm with Shellz31...I have "too much" in the front to actually sleep on my stomach, so I kind of sleep up on one hip with my shoulders near flat, as face down as I can get. I toss and turn to both sides as well.
My male other half prefers his back, but also sleeps on both sides as well. We both toss and turn, it is a very active place in the middle of the night! I'm surprised the cats opt to sleep in it some nights!

i like to sleep on back; i'm so thin that when i sleep on my sides it feels like i'm crushing myself (weird, right) and sleeping on my stomach is just plain uncomfortable.

my bf likes to sleep on his stomach a lot, but sleeps on his side facing away from me when i sleep over. he doesn't like it when we're facing each other b/c he doesn't like it when ppl breathe on him when he's asleep. so we spoon a lot.

My husband and I always fall asleep in each other's arms, both on our left sides, but we always wake up on our stomachs. It's awful!

I fairly evenly exchange between my left side and my back, but will sleep on my right side or on my stomach occasionally.

I usually start on my left side or stomach, then shift to my right sometime in the night, and wake up on my back. I guess I move around a lot.

I have to sleep on my stomach. It sucks when you are pregnant, this is not a position that works with a huge round belly. You can not get comfortable when pregnant anyhow let alone not being able to sleep in your favorite way. I do end up all over the place. I toss, turn, flip, and whatever else you can do.

I sleep on my stomach but when we were in college me and my boyfriend shared a twin bed for a semester before we were smart and moved his bed into my room and tied them together. And we used to sleep on our sides tangled up in limbs.

I'm female, and my boyfriend and I usually spoon in bed. Inevitably one or both of us will shift onto our back. He's sometimes on his stomach when we wake up, though, and I tend to stretch my legs out and take up most of the bed.
When I first read this, I thought the title of the thread was comparing sleeping position to preferred sexual position. That actually got me thinking: generally, people sleep in the position they're most comfortable in, and I think we probably have sex with the same thought in mind...
As for correlation between sleeping position and favorite sexual position, our favorite (though we switch it up pretty frequently) is me on my back with my legs around his waist while he's on top of me. Quite similar to our individual preferred sleeping positions!

I usually end up sleeping on my back, but I am more comfortable on my stomach. The thing about sleeping on my stomach is that every once in a while I wake up and find that BOTH of my arms are asleep; this can be disconcerting because I can't move well and I always feel like I'm going to dislocate one of them if I try.
Anyone else have this problem?

I'm a guy and I prefer to sleep on my left side. It's probably because I have a window on the right of my bed that lets in a little light even at night.

I am female and I only sleep on the right side. When I'm on my left side I can feel my heart and it bothers me, when I'm on my back or stomach I cannot normally breathe. So only right side for me.
