mmm i live in a rural town but it's big enough to warrant a walmart and grocery store and the like. i'm loathe to call it a city though, since the population's less than 30K.
Woodstock is a small city suburb of Atlanta. Easy to find houses with more than an acre of land, but plenty of neighborhoods and commercial businesses. Would like to move to someplace more rural in the future.
AKA census-designated area between two towns. My county is the beachside suburb of Orlando. Which is truly in another dimension with no contact with reality.
Suburb outside of a moderate city, I wouldn't call it large... not compared to legitimately large cities I've seen.
The suburb counts as a small 'city' itself, but I don't consider it one really... there's no metropolitan area, the businesses are all food, cosmetics and hobby-type shops and a (veryunwelcomed) Walmart. There's a couple of high-schools, elementary and jr. highs
