anyone who had lasik? I've been thinking about getting the surgery, it seems like my eyes are progressively deteriorating and eventually I'll need the surgery, so how is it? anything to watch out for?

A family member got it and is very happy with the results, but she told me to be very careful picking out a place to get it done, since some of the places were giving her incorrect information or were otherwise scam-y and questionable.

I have been wearing contacts since I was in high school, they don't bother me but I would love to have the freedom of not worrying about them. I usually spend about $400 a year on contacts, so makes total sense to get Lasik done (btw, I'm 37). My sister got it done and she has been really happy with the results.

My uncle got it about 10 years ago. He's been really happy with it. He still needs reading glasses sometimes. He does see better than I do now and he's nearly 70.
