Do you still write letters?

I was wondering if anyone here still writes letters, as in need a stamp snail mail letters. I have a friend who lives a few states away and she suggested writing letters to each other for fun, and I'm curious to see if anyone else does this.

What is a letter? I think I've heard of a stamps before, it was a small paper you had to lick to send something that took ages to get there. I can't imagine! They must make a horror film about it.

So glad for email...texting.. and sexting.. teehee

I write cards more than letters. I love the hand written stuff myself, so I love to give them too!

I love sending and receiving snail mail! I've been in a few long distance relationships and we've always sent letters for fun (along with communicating 24/7 over the internet, texting, etc. of course :p).

My son was at boot camp for the last 8.5 weeks and we had to write him because they do not allow any electronic communication - just a phone call 1/week. It was fun - but it's over now so we'll go back to email.

I write thank you letters because that's what I was raised to do...

Only thank you letters, which are slowly turning into thank you emails because more of my friends/family are moving around a lot

I send hand-made thank you cards. However, I've been wanting to start writing letters. It truly is a lost art. I think sending a friend or family member a random letter would be nice I know I'd certainly appreciate it.
