Have lights ever flickered off when you walk by?

Contributor: Bethy Cassatt Bethy Cassatt
A friend of mine tried explaining to me that human beings can actually do this, evolving electricity stuff that really does mess with light bulbs and working. I didn't buy it, but then we were walking along and ten bulbs in a row did this! We were the only ones there, at 4 oclock in the morning, and these were non-flickering new lights!

Do you buy it? Have you ever done this?

Yes, quite a bit since the wreck three years ago, before that it was very occasionally. The little sprinklers always come on in the produce aisle when I am getting veggies and fruit, streetlights will go off for two minutes or more when I walk or drive by, dead batteries will work one more time and I cannot wear a watch--they die completely within a few hours. A few other odd things happen, I just think nothing of it anymore....

I tend to fry electronics that do not belong to me, can never get a clear FM radio signal in the house if I'm around, lights flicker...I mention something I want to see or haven't thought about in awhile and it's on tv the next day. It's just normal around here.

Not flicker, but I seem to be bad luck for streetlights, I tend to walk under one as it dies at least once a night

Yes...on the end of our block there's this one street light that flickers out as I walk by it and then right back on by the time I get to the next one.
It's so...creepy, I've named it PSL (an acronym for possessed street light). x_x
The radio and cell signals always seem to suck pretty bad around me too, but I just figured that to be the location of the house or something. xD

I don't believe what your friend tried to tell you, but it has happened to me. I just think it's a coincidence.

I worked in produce for a summer and the sprinklers went off every time I went near them. It was weird considering they were on a timer. Street lights tend to go out just before I walk or drive under them. It used to freak me out, but I've gotten used to it and like to think of it as just coincidence.
