Most of my adult life I've used the classic black Chapstick. I switched a few months ago to Burt's Bees peppermint and vitamin E and plan to stick with it. I like that it's thicker than the one I had been using.

In recent years have you switched from your old favorite to something new?

I vacillate between several brands, including Whole Foods brand lip balm, Dr Bronners and another one I can't recall.

I use gloss because it's so thick and sticky (annoying) that it keeps my lips really soft, and actually moisturizes them, and chapstick does not do a thing for me.

Well I switched from cherry chapstick (used it loyally for years) to this dollar store stuff because it has a much higher SPF rating and my bf is allergic to cherries & strawberries (figure I ought to get used to not using any cherry or strawberry stuff before we meet that way I don't goof up and wear some around him).
It's alright I suppose...it has no flavor but that's a good thing.
Plus you get three for a dollar and as far as I can tell it doesn't have any bad ingredients.

I switched from either Blistex medicated or Huckleberry Emu Oil stick to Principessa's Lip balm.

I have a whole toy box full of lip balms. The ones I keep in my purse are the Dona Lotus and Lypsyl.
