I do & I try to in many ways, but of course it isn't possible to go and fully live "green." I do what I can like unplugging things that aren't in use, recycling some things, am careful about what I buy and how I spend money, try to use organic as much as possible. I go to pretty great lengths to opt for organic when possible. I also upcycle. Takes some creativity to do a lot of upcycling, but it has been a lot of fun! I'll find ways to reuse anything I can & can sometimes make something entirely new out of an item -- like shipping boxes, the huge brown paper that comes inside, etc. I decorate shipping boxes up when I can & will use them for gifting and stylish storage containers. I've been using that huge brown packaging paper to make hand-painted wrapping paper & it actually turns out beautiful!

Those are my "green" ways, but I don't always go green with every single thing.

I've made small changes in my adulthood to consume less resources, but not enough to brag about. I do not use paper/plastic throwaway type cups, plates, bowls, coff ee filters, paper towels, napkins, or utensils. Those blasted plastic bags from the store are reused for pet cleanup and since I've been in cast, cast covers for showers, baths, and walks in the rain.
During the holidays I was super-stoked about getting a keurig coffee system for my home and my mother-in-law, but after researching decided against it because all those little cups will be around for a loonng time after use.
Another small thing I do is changing as much correspondance from snailmail to email as possible. I pay bills online, check statements online, and send rambling long emails to friends and family members who used to receive similar letters from me.
I am guilty of using environmentally wreckless femine products myself, and disposable pads for my liitle old girl of a dog. She won't use newspaper or pads made of recycled material, buit she can't hold it for long either.
In short, I could do better.

Do you have any tips on upcycling?
