I just donated my hair to locks of love I used to have hair down to my butt now its a short bob and I'm loving it. My head feels so light its like I'm about to fly away and oddly my neck feels stiff and I'm not sure why o.O

I did it the same way, Princess Zelda - butt-length to bob, all donated to the organization. It was my first act of rebellion against my ex-husband who wanted me to have insanely long hair. He didn't speak to me for three days afterwards.
I was happier for the kids getting wigs from my hair - they had more need of it.

I would but I can never manage to grow my hair past my shoulders. It gets too hard to manage and I end up getting it cut off. I don't think they'd take a donation of an inch or so of hair

I woke up today a little worried becuase I had forgotten I had cut my Hair. It freaked me out a little but I am still happy about my hair cut.

Weird! My hair was colored and they accepted it ... I wonder what they really did with it, then? They're the ones who suggested it to me, so it wasn't like I forced them to take it ...

I dye mine and mine has been donated. I think that the problem with most dyed hair is that people over do it an fry their hair so it can't be used. My hair you can't tell has been dyed by the look and feel of it. I have donated once because the last time I got 10in cut off you could tell my hair had been bleached considering I had highlights

It was meaningful when I did it. A friend had cancer at the time and it helped me feel less powerless. I dont know if I would do it again. The last 2 months my hair drove me crazy. I had to sleep with it in a braid or I felt it was going to strangle me.

Twice but the last time was quite a while ago. Now I keep my hair short to mid-length so I don't expect to be able to make another donation anytime soon.

I would love to, but I color my hair and they won't take it. I also don't think I could get my hair long enough to donate without going crazy, my hair is a little past shoulder length now and it is driving me crazy, this is the longest it has been in years. My mom grew her hair out and donated it a few years ago, she was very happy she could do it. And to those of you who have donated, thank you so much. My little cousin was diagnosed with leukemia last year (she is in remission now) and the chemo made her lose her hair.

I would love to but my hair is dyed black. It's dry, split, and needs a lot of tlc. I have hair all the way down to my butt too but my hair is dyed/damaged so I don't think they would accept that. I think I might want to go natural though. I'm kinda sick of thick tar like black hair dye. lol.
