I prefer short hair on both sexes, including myself. I'm growing out my hair right now, however, because my boyfriend likes long hair and though he didn't ask me to grow it out, I thought he might like it.

Some women look great with long hair and some women look great with short hair, it just depends on the person. I really enjoy short hair on a guy though. I have seen way too many men with long hair and horrible split ends, and it is not attractive to me at all.
