My sister met my boyfriend (now ex) after a few months I think, but it took over a year and my dad "popping in" and seeing his shoes at my house to even know I had a boyfriend. I have commitment issues and didn't want anyone to meet him in case we broke up, and we did a year later, and I regret him meeting anyone.

I met my husband's parents about 3 months after we were together. There were a few issues and situations that made meeting them sooner a very bad idea. My husband met my family much later than that due to the lack of communication with some of my family members. He already knew my daughter and I already knew his son as well.
