Money, money, money!

Does anyone know of any legitimate work from home gigs? I have 14 years of data entry experience, extensive knowledge of the internet and basic knowledge of SEO techniques.

For two years, I ran a company as the only in-office employee. I handled everything from inbound/outbound customer service, order processing, invoicing, bookkeeping, production and shipping. During that time I coordinated three national trade show appearances from start to finish. My official title in the company was Treasurer and all of the credit lines for the company were in my name. The company later transferred to Minnesota and I was not willing to transfer with them.

Due to the area I live in and my husband's work schedule working part-time in retail is unrealistic, though I have applied many times.

Any suggestions are welcome!

I'm currently looking for this type of side work too. With my masters, it's all I really have time for if I want to keep my A's lol. I do surveys and that gives me some money, but it's probably not what you are looking for.

I've been looking for something similar. My full time job schedule can get a little crazy depending on what's going on, so I can't commit to some of the hours for part-time retail, which is really all I can find part-time by me.

*kicks the economy*

My husband has a great job but they're kind of toying with a few things in regards to a promotion right now and it's all just sliding backwards.

I've always hoped of one day working for an e-zine or website, maybe I'll put the feelers out for that. I certainly do have a lot of opinions and I love to share them!

I'm pimping my affliate link hardcore and set up an LJ account specifically for personal experiences that isn't really associated with the reviews I choose to do here.

I've even thought about going so far as becoming a webcam girl.

I've considered webcam work and personally, would be fine with it. It's definitely not for everyone though. However, I'd only begun to consider it after I met and was committed to my current boyfriend and he is not at all ok with it and I respect that. So unless I end up without him, it's not something I'll be pursuing.

Live Ops
West Corporation (but the pay FUCKING SUCKS)
depending on the state you live in you can work for HSN
Cloud 10 Corp
Alpine Access
Accolade Support

Now, to be totally blunt, the pay isn't amazing. Most pay per talking minute (they are sales companies) and some pay per hour (very rare, and usually not hiring). I have been working for companies like this for 7 years now.

Can you make money? Yes
Can you make a full income? Yes...with a 60+ hour work week or more
Are you an employee? NO...you are a contractor...you will have to pay your own taxes quarterly. Don't forget that.
Are there benefits? Nope
Can anyone do it? For the most part, but for these careers to really work you need to want to do this. Seriously. I loved working with LiveOps, and I have heard Alpine Access is AMAZING (they hire you as an hourly employee too).

Have at it!!!

Teletech has homebased agents. It's part time, but you're considered an actual employee as opposed to contractor.

Right now I'm writing for Break Studios. It's not full time pay at all (If I do 2 articles a day I'll make half of what I made at my last job) but it's something.

Demand Studios is another one, but it's harder to be accepted as a writer, and they're being even more selective due to their popularity.

We're looking at maybe just an extra 2 or 3 hundred dollars a month. Nothing major. Is that possible with any of these?

I wish i could do work at home stuff, like freelance writing or something, but I, too, am paranoid about it not being legit. So i stick with selling things on Ebay. Find something at the local swap meet or yard sale, fix it up, clean it off, sell it, and hope you make a profit on whatever it is.

You'd be surprised how much you can make selling Giga Pets this way, they're still in demand for collectors. I bought one for a buck, got it working, sold it for 20.

Chump change, I know, but something is better than nothing, right?

I totally forgot about Teletech.

I know there are hundreds of these places out there.

You can also look into being a virtual assistant for a company as well.

I think once I grounded my feet in "This is my life, I love sex, screw what everyone else thinks" I could swallow it so long as my partner and I can work through disagreements. He has often wanted to get us to just play around with cam sites, so I don't know if he would have a problem with it or not.

I really don't know how I would find a site to begin with. I just know that I don't drive, I like to work from home and we need a little push in the cash department.

I wouldn't call these "jobs", but they do bring home some extra in payment. If you keep at them, about two or three hundred a month, but for most people (like myself), it's just like an extra thirty dollars a month for not that much effort.

It's just taking surveys online. They legitimately pay, and most will require you to have a verified Paypal account.

SurveySpot.com
SayNation.com
InboxDollars.com

Those are the three that I get paid from the most.

(Also, have you considered phone sex? That's also out there.)

I do that too, during the summer when we have yard sales here. I do vintage kitchenware - pyrex, dishes, depression glass, Boontonware, etc. It's an interest of mine so I already know what I'm looking for and anything that I know is valuable but just isn't my style, I clean and sell.

Thanks! I think I would get bored with phone sex SUPER fast. My husband and I already spend 90% of our day sexting each other and even then I run out of things to say.

LiveOps for sure
Alpine and HSN are both actual jobs with hours that you really can't choose.

West...is iffy.

CLoud 10 can get you money, but there has to be work.

LiveOps is your best bet.
