Basically, my toys tend to pile up. Unless I am absolutely in love with one, I prefer to sort of cycle them and throw at least one away a month. I buy from both EF and my local sex toy shop which a friend of my husband owns. So basically, things get to be too much. About a year ago, my hubby and I made the goal and sticking to it has really cleaned things up. At first we were worried we'd end up really missing a certain toy but it just hasn't happened. We have a box (two boxes, one for me, one for him) in which our absolute favorite toys go. The ones which feel so amazing that throwing them away is like a death sentence. The others stay elsewhere. At first it was hard to choose, but it has gotten easier. I think it is good because we don't have piles of toys not being used and it makes room for new things.


Does anyone else do anything like this?

I have a close circle of friends who love it when it's time for me to clean out my toy box. Yes, we are close enough that sharing toys is not such a big deal!

If they can be sanitized, I'd put them up on Eden Classifieds because someone may buy them off you for a discounted price.

I have someone that's offered to take them off my hands when I'm ready for that. Will probably be soon too, 'cause I'm running out of room!

***shudder, shudder***Noooooo!! I cannot toss a toy until it does not work. If I hate it, I can either resell the item or give it to my one friend that knows about EF. Congrats, though, on being able to stick to your goal and clear out your toy box!!

I try to find new homes for them rather than throw them away, but I do manage to keep my collection at a reasonable size. Well, I think it's reasonable, anyway...

Don't do it monthly, about every 6 months we go through them, if they haven't been used out they go.

No, I hoard mine. It's bad. I have so many they're everywhere! I really need a system to get rid of some, but I can't bear to do it.

Not once a month, and not one at a time. I do periodically go in and toss however many I have that don't work for me, or are old, or are not something I would try to pass on to someone else. I just tossed about half a dozen a few weeks ago. I have a trunk that I keep them in, but still, space is limited.
