most expensive tool you or someone you know have purchased

What is the most expensive tool you or another family member or friend has purchased for personal use at home? Mine would be a $2000 wood working tool. It is more of a commercial type of tool, but I use it for my personal projects around the house, or to make presents for people.

I guess mine would be my Sewing machine at $1000. Its a industrial machine that will sew leather and canvas with ease. I also have a welder, it was about $900. Really though my quad is more of a tool than toy, I have to have it for work around the farm gathering wood and plowing snow. It was about $1500. Worth every penny.

My boyfriends 850 dollar welder. He wanted a more expensive one but realized he could do everything he wanted with what he ended up getting.

Unfortunately my most expensive tool would probably be the screwdriver set I bought. I don't think they cost any more than $20. I prefer to borrow tools from family members if I need them, especially since I don't have anywhere to keep anything big.

I just purchased a $1900 woodworking tool. Not as expensive as my table saw, but almost.
