Do you prefer name brand products, or it doesn't matter to you?

There are some things that I like to get the brand name (I went to off brand dishwasher liquid, it just wasn't worth it!) but I usually don't see much difference. Every once in a while I find I actually prefer the generic version.
If I have some medicine ALWAYS get the available generic version.

Generic brand for everything. The only time I buy 'fancy' brands is when it comes to sex toys and alcohol. Yay vices!

A lot of what I buy doesn't have a generic brand where I live, such as dairy free cheeses, vegan meats and other "weird hippie granola junk". When it comes to other products with numerous brands, it really depends. I'll try the generic version and compare it to the brand name, and choose based on price and subjective quality. I am loyal to certain brands, it would seem.

It all depends on the product, but usually, I'll totally go for generic if it's cheaper!
