National Novel Writing Month

I LOVE writing, so I am doing National Novel Writing Month, aka, Nanowrimo and I just. Can't. Wait!! Basically, it's 50,000 words in 30 days. It sounds nerdy, but it's so fun!!

Does anyone here do nanowrimo? Have you started your planning yet?

I have several friends who enter it every year. I make plans to enter as well but my muse is erratic at best and shows up when it wants to.

What have you got planned? If you're willing to share vague details.

Yes, I'll be doing this, but I won't cross the streams, so I won't be mentioning any details at all. Sorry!

I am doing it. I'm really excited about it actually because I've been so busy lately so I haven't had time to write as much as I would like.

I always get busy, but it has to happen!!

Chillipepper, they point is to work around the muse! Quality, not quanity. Mine takes place during the golden age(probably, 1894, but that's not set yet) of carnivals and shows. It's a YA novel, and my plot is rolling! I'm so excited that it's almost Nov.

ToyGeek, I understand! People ask me what I'm writing about--they want graphic details--but I am always tight lipped about it.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I would do it if I had enough time. I write pretty regularly now, but 50,000 words is a lot! Good luck to everyone going for it!

This is really late to the party, but I do NNWM every year. It took me a few years to get my plans just right so I can hit that 50k mark in time, but I've actually gotten there three years in a row, now! I keep meaning to do a rough outline of my next year's plot right after November, but I always end up flailing around at the last minute for one.

I can't go anywhere online without running into other people who participate (I'm not complaining; I think it's awesome)!
