Depends on which ones. Some are very light clamps, and can adjust from slight clamping to moderate. Others are more alligator type clamps, or have no adjustment at all, and are quite intense.

You might look into adjustable clips. The alligator style ones can be very angry and mean if you don't want anything super intense.
