Also, I AM a cute bunny.

I start to feel stressed if I'm off the internet (without at least checking in for an hour) for more than a day, so I would never, with reason, go without longer than that. I went without for three days once when on a vacation, but it wasn't voluntary - the internet at the hotel didn't work.

It depends on how you define willingly . When I visit my Mom, I have no internet unless the neighbors happen to have their wireless broadcasting. But, we're willingly visiting, so we don't have a choice.

I once went a week while i was on holidays up north and my cousin did not have a computer yet. I was starting to twitch I think.. I went to the library and used it there. And after that I convinced her that she needs a computer

Generally having access but choosing not to use it for a period of time.

Sometimes I disconnect for a day or so but I've never gone for more than that without there being no access available at all.

It's usually because I get frustrated with the five hundred million advertisements I see on a daily basis or an argument that's been beat to death, warmed up and beaten again.

It was a few days, but it felt like I was shut out from my friends ( I was away at the time). I don't enjoy going without internet for a long time.

A couple days at most, during vacation. If I am at home I am online at some point every day.

That's a wild question, because it divides my time between pre-internet and post-internet times. I went without the internet for so long until I didn't.

I once went almost 2 weeks without internet.

When we first moved into this house, our local cable company was not able to hook up our service for several months. We went without TV and computer access for a very long time. It was kind of nice. Even our son said (once we did get cable/internet), "Can we turn everything off and pretend we don't have cable again?" For awhile we did opt one night a week for no TV night, but that eventually stopped as he got older. You can't keep 'em little forever I suppose.

However, I went for the first 28 years of my life without internet in my home. Most people didn't own home computers; they were not affordable and the internet was only for commercial use.

True about the first 25 years or so. Seems like yesterday...

A week or so for me, typically while on vacation.

When I am on vacation I won't use the internet so maybe a week or so at a time for that. Sometimes I will go on a "computer fast" for a day or two but never any longer than that. I get irratated if I go for a couple of days without my computer. I might have a problem lol

It's never willingly! But I know I'd have to give up even more time if I run myself down too much without sleep.

I can't go any longer than about 9hrs (sleep time) without internet. I go insane!

I'm not sure how to answer, because while I'm not often on the computer on the weekends, I'm often checking my email/Facebook from my phone if I need to. If my husband and I are going away for the weekend, I don't touch my phone unless we're leaving wherever we're staying tho.

If I am not on my phone, then I am on my computer. So on and so forth. Gotta have my sites!

I spend almost all week on the interwebs, so I only pop on a couple times on the weekends.

I kind of wasn't referring to things like 'the internet not existing yet or not being available/affordable' or 'the computer broke'.

Just wondering how many people willingly take a step back on occasion.

Longest willingly and without withdrawal pains would be about 2 weeks when traveling out of the country. When visiting the grandparents, where there is no wifi at there house or nearby, I spend some time beforehand surfing around and saving various blog articles and fanfic to tide me over. Pisses my grandma off to walk into her living room to find it full of kids and grandkids not talking to one another, but texting to people hours away
