Regardless of your age, are you, or have you been, open with your parents at all about toys in the bedroom? I would never want to be myself, but I know quite a few people that talk to their parents about sex, toys, etc, all the time, and was wondering what your take is on it?

I don't get into specifics with my mother, but she knows we have toys, and she knows what some of them are. She knows I review, and she knows I work here. We make bad sex jokes, and good sex jokes, and talk openly about most of it.

Sex is not something we talk about. Period. As far as she's concerned, my daughter was an immaculate conception. As a matter of fact, my sister was cleaning out the garage and mentioned that she found like 10 condoms (which had fallen out of what used to be my overnight bag in my luggage set). My Mom flipped out. I thought she was going to vomit. Even after my sister clarified they were still packaged, she was grossed out.

Nope... I never have and wouldn't talk to them about any of my "bidnezz". Some are open about those details with their parents but I've never felt the need to talk to them about anything sex toy related.

I have talked with my mother about sex toys and some games etc but never my dad. One of my poor boyfriends was shocked one night when he came over for dinner and after a few drinks we all sat around joked and talked about BJs and good techniques. He couldn't believe we were that open as his parents were really against talking about sex. My daughter who is 21 has the same open relationship with me and she will come and ask me questions and things as well. I guess we are a pretty open family as long as it is talked about sensibly and not in a dirty derogatory manner its all good.

I never really started talking to my mom about sex until about a year ago when I moved to be with my now ex-boyfriend. She never knew that I lost my virginity at such a young age because I was scared to tell her. Now we talk about it and we have become closer because of it.

Tight lipped! I know about my moms to an extent. She doesn't know of mine. And she doesn't NEED to!

My family knows what I do here on Eden and what we sell. I don't think my parents would talk about stuff like this openly (I wouldn't want to either). Strangely, though, I'd be totally cool talking about this stuff with my sisters and bro's in law.

My mom told me that i should get a vibrator when I was a little younger and she mentioned that she and my dad used toys sometimes but that was the extent of our conversation. I'm not sure I'd want to talk about it with her for a while. But maybe someday.

My parents are in their 70s, divorced from each other, remarried (Mom is widowed, Dad is married to a very sweet woman not much older than I am.)
My Mom is Catholic and has serious sex issues. She "disapproves of" and is "offended" by virtually everything.
My dad thinks polygamy should be legal. He was quite a lady's man in his day. (Thus the divorce.) He looks like a cross between Albert Einstein and Hugh Hefner. (Just for the record.) I can't talk about sex toys with my dad. EW.
